Before and After: a project balancing brand identity and design
When I was commissioned to renovate this bakery, my first impression was of a dated space, with a rather simple 1980s style. It was an important starting point, but one with enormous potential.

The new owners had a clear goal: to transform this space into a modern bakery with an adjoining bar service, able to offer breakfasts, coffee service, and aperitifs. A welcoming and elegant place, yet accessible to everyone, from people working nearby to those wanting to take a break in a refined environment.
The most interesting challenge? The use of Tiffany and peach tones, both tied to the visual identity of the company’s two brands. The risk was creating an environment that felt too bright or unbalanced. I therefore worked on a palette that introduced neutral and warm tones such as beige, light taupe, and Canaletto walnut, to bring harmony, elegance, and a sense of refinement.

The project is organised into two main areas:
- The retail area, with a front counter at the entrance in Canaletto walnut wood.
- The bar area, on the left, with a Tiffany-coloured counter that echoes the velvet of the armchairs.
The flooring also played a key role in distinguishing the spaces, using different finishes to visually separate the two areas. I chose a natural stone-effect finish, which works in harmony with the warm tones and the brushed brass details of the bar tables.

The result is a balanced venue that conveys contemporary yet approachable elegance. A space designed to welcome a diverse clientele, from younger people to more mature guests, from entrepreneurs to athletes, in a setting that, despite being located in an industrial area, manages to stand out and express a strong personality.
